An Inclusive Christian Catholic Community – A place where faithful dissenters meet!

Welcome to our site!

According to the Pew Research Center, 47% of Americans have a personal connection to Catholicism, and 9% of U.S. adults self-identify as former Catholics. Help us reach them with real good news!

When we claim inclusivity, we mean that all persons are welcome regardless of their race, national origin, religious affiliation or none, gender, sexual orientation, or physical disability.

Agreement with our Christian and Catholic beliefs is NOT REQUIRED in this community.  If you are an atheist, agnostic, faithful to any Eastern/Native American/or Mystical /etc. organization, you are welcome in our community.

We reach out especially to the millions of free-thinking Roman Catholics who populate the pews in Roman Catholic parishes every weekend or, moved to other Christian denominations or, dropped out entirely.

I’m talking about the thousands/millions of Roman Catholics who take exception to the doctrine of the Roman Catholic church e.g. infallibility of the pope and councils, universal jurisdiction of the pope, real presence of Christ in the eucharist, the trinity, Marian doctrines, etc.

I’m talking about the thousands/millions of Roman Catholics who take exception to other teachings of the Roman Catholic church e.g. birth control, abortion, right to die, just war, homosexuality, celibacy, ordination of women and married men, LGBTQI etc.

With this much dissent, does that not constitute an independent Roman Catholic church within the Roman Catholic church?

With the world-wide proliferation of hundreds/thousands of independent Catholic churches, does this not prove the existence of an independent Roman Catholic church?

Whether traditionalist, conservative, moderate, progressive, or liberal, Jesus’ ideal and call to unity requires a Roman Catholic church that is open to and accepting of all Christian persons and those other persons of good will without the pretense of compliance. That is the INCLUSIVE CHRISTIAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY that I seek.

Is such a structure/organization possible? I believe it is. But, and this is a HUUUGE but, it must be free of legalisms and built instead on faith, compassion, mercy, forgiveness, reconciliation, and love. In other words, it must appeal to the best of what it means to be the sons and daughters of the God Who created us. It must have leaders who are not afraid to be led by the urgings of the Holy Spirit and act decisively on those urgings.

According to the Pew Research Center, 47% of Americans have a personal connection to Catholicism, and 9% of U.S. adults self-identify as former Catholics. Help us reach them with real good news!

The Good News is that as Christians, followers of Jesus’s Way, His teachings hold priority when making prayerful decisions about faith, morals, and religious practice.  Jesus first, Catholicism second!

As Catholics, we choose Catholicism as the starting point when making decisions about faith, morals, and religious practice. If we encounter differences or conflicts between Jesus’s Way and our understanding of Catholicism, we will prayerfully consider the issue.  Our informed conscience then becomes the sole arbiter which will lead us to a resolution.

While we may identify as Christian Catholics, our community is open to all.  Each person is invited to decide for themselves the extent of their participation in our governance, worship and ministries.

More Good News!  There are no aspects of this community which require compliance by any member.  We do not excommunicate.  Our unity evolves to the degree we are able to be faithful believers both in thought and deed.

We believe in

Jesus’s Way,

inclusive and independent Catholicism

we (humankind) are made in the image and likeness of our Creator Who is divine

our soul is immortal

humankind is disposed toward goodness but not yet divine

the common good.

You can be the Christian Catholic you want to be and be open and joyful about it!  Isn’t it time for free-thinking Roman Catholics to come out of their closets, come together, and be the INCLUSIVE CHRISTIAN CATHOLIC COMMUNITY that they are already?
